Learn about the composer Camille Saint-Saens'. Carnival of the Animals is a set of orchestral character pieces, each of which is meant to describe a particular animal, usually by mimicking the sounds it makes or characterizing the way it moves or carries itself. Mon-Thur 9:45am-12:00
Stars & Stripes(ages 7-12)
Come explore the history behind the most popular patriotic music of our country and the anthems of our military branches. We will create a studio flag, make some boom-whacking music, paint hats for the 4th of July and learn about John Philip Sousa. Mon-Thur 9:45am-12:00
Beethoven Lives Upstairs(ages 7-14)
Learn about the music and life of Ludwig Van Beethoven. Beethoven is considered one of the greatest musical geniuses who ever lived. He may be most famous for his nine symphonies, but he also wrote many other kinds of music: chamber and choral music, piano music and string quartets, and an opera. Join the “ClassiCOWS” and the “SonaTOES” as they team up for points and learn tempos and ornaments in music. Mon-Thur 9:45am-12:00
SUMMER KEYBOARDING
Fine-tune your piano skills over the summer
Classes meet twice a week for a two-week session. (2 hour classes)

Fun composing activities for staff reading students ages 7-Adult.
Learn about chords, bass patterns and melody and harmony. Create 6 short compositions!
PLUS:
Fun improvising activities for students to explore the sounds of the keyboard and use pentascales to create melodies for…an Old Cowboy, a Pagoda, the Weather, a Scary Castle, Martians and Bagpipes!
Beginning Blues Improvisation
For staff reading students ages 10-Adult. This is an introductory class that explores the 12-Bar Blues and Bass Patterns used in blues music. Learn the swing style, C blues scale, barrelhouse bass, walking bass and stomp!
